Overview
A complete last-mile logistics management system built for a courier company operating routes across Kenya, Uganda, and Tanzania. The system tracks 200+ daily deliveries with sub-minute location accuracy and delivers proof-of-delivery photos automatically to customers.
The challenge
The company managed dispatch through WhatsApp groups and phone calls, resulting in lost parcels, no visibility for customers, and no data for management to optimize routes or measure rider performance.
The solution
We built a Flutter rider app with offline GPS tracking that syncs when connectivity is restored — critical for routes through rural areas. A web dispatch dashboard gives operations real-time visibility. Customers receive SMS with a tracking link; Firebase Realtime DB powers live map updates without polling.
